About The Audi Q2
The Audi Q2 is a small crossover made by Audi. It is designed to appeal to young people, and as such, it has a quirky, youthful appearance. It is not as significant as other SUVs in the Audi range, such as the Q3 and Q5, and is closer in size to the A1. It has a range of colourful options and optional graphics, as well as optional large wheels. The 2020 facelift added a more angular front grille and fake vents for a more heritage-inspired look, as well as standard LED lights front and rear. Despite its youthful appearance, it may not offer as much presence on the road as other, larger SUVs.
What Does It Feel Like To Drive?
There’s not much meat on the Q2 to chew on. When driving, the control weights continuously lack any sensation, and the ride quality is downright awful if you choose an S-line model with 18- or 19-inch wheels. One may argue that Audi customers just care about the brand name and aren’t bothered by the car’s poor handling or uncomfortable large wheels. However, the Q2 is a paradigmatic example of a vehicle that fails to live up to its potential in terms of luxury because it has not been meticulously prepared. For example, a Ford Puma’s smoother ride and handling make it seem like you’re driving a lot more costly piece of machinery than you are.
The little crossing route, of course. These vehicles are often somewhat uninspiring, with a few notable outliers being the Ford Puma, Mazda CX-3, and Hyundai Kona. Since they are often built with engines designed for low emissions rather than high excitement and are typically taller and more top-heavy than the hatchbacks they are based on, they are not known for their extraordinary performance. Which is probably about appropriate for the vast majority of people who purchase cars.
It’s a pity the Q2 can’t match the Q5’s trick of being much more polished and calm than you think, or show the same level of dynamic vigor. In order to keep costs down, a torsion beam rear axle was used, and anybody walking a few feet behind the vehicle would immediately recognize the Dacia-style suspension.
Engines
The Audi Q2 is available with a range of engines, including both gasoline and diesel options.
Gasoline engines:
- 1.0-liter TFSI three-cylinder with 116 horsepower
- 1.5-liter TFSI four-cylinder with 150 horsepower
- 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder with 190 horsepower
Diesel engines:
- 1.6-liter TDI four-cylinder with 116 horsepower
- 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder with 150 or 190 horsepower
All engines are paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, except for the 1.0-liter TFSI, which comes with a six-speed manual transmission. Some models may also be available with quattro all-wheel drive.
